Liquidations

 

When collectors are considering selling parts, or even their entire collection, we will manage the entire sale process; from presenting the collection to long-standing industry contacts, negotiating price and terms on behalf of the collector, coordination of logistics and ultimately, payment of proceeds to the collector. 

 

In a competitive market for fine and rare wines, KHB Consulting will leverage those contacts with top buyers and auction houses to ensure the collector receives optimal payment terms and maximum proceeds for their collection. These services can also be provided for Estate Sales, and Divorce Settlements.

 

 

Acquisitions

 

We will source and acquire wines that meet the client’s specific taste, budget and preferences.  Acquisitions can be customized to meet the client’s consumption timeframe, whether it’s for short-term, to be laid down and drunk decades from now or strictly for investment purposes to resell at a later date.  With a keen awareness of the importance of provenance on all purchases, we will only work with our trusted network of top vendors within the industry when purchasing wines for our clients.

 

 

Appraisals

 

Having an accurate understanding of the value of a collection can be essential, specifically for:

 

  • Insurance purposes, to establish a policy or after a claim has been filed for theft  or a natural disaster

  • Liquidation and reselling

  • Transporting your collection

  • Legal resolutions for divorce settlements and estate needs

 

We offer appraisals for our clients’ collections for all these scenarios through various valuation tools utilizing several current market data points.
